Why Choose the Garmin R10 Practice Package?
Worth knowing before you buy: spin rate on the R10 is calculated from club data, not directly measured — which is why no ball marking is required, but spin numbers are estimates rather than optically measured values. For range work and swing improvement this is an acceptable tradeoff. Space is the other consideration — the R10 needs 6–8 feet behind the ball and at least 8 feet of ball flight to the net, so the overall footprint is 9'W x 12'D x 8'H. This bundle doesn't include a projector or screen; if you want to add those later, the R10 is already compatible with a full simulator build. Home Tee Hero requires a Garmin Golf subscription sold separately.

The Garmin Golf app is free and gives you access to the driving range and basic shot metrics at no cost. Home Tee Hero course simulation — 43,000 courses — requires an active Garmin Golf subscription sold separately. For this practice bundle, most people start with the free tier and add a subscription when they're ready to play full rounds.
The Garmin Golf app runs on iPhone (iOS 16 or later) or Android phones running Android 9.0 or higher with native Google Play Store support. The included phone mount clips to your bag so you can see your data between shots. Android tablet support is not available, and iPad compatibility is not guaranteed across all models.
